My husband and I vacationed at Sapphire NC. Ryan was a delight and very knowledgeable. We caught Rainbow, Spotted and Brown trout and had a great time. It made our vacation trip even more memorable. Ryan was so sweet and helped to keep me from busting my butt on the rocks by always offering a helpful hand. Ryan helped us to make some great memories.
Ryan and Grant guided us on our family’s first ever attempt at fly fishing. We had 2 families so brought a crew along…wives, 3 young kids and a baby. The adults took turns learning the ropes of fly fishing from Ryan and Grant and catching plenty of fish, while the kids enjoyed nature and exploring from the river bank. These two guys expertise, patience and knowledge of the river made this excursion one of the highlights of our 6 day trip to North Carolina. Highly recommend Grant and Ryan if you’re ever in the area!!!
Hands down the best fly fishing guide. We were newbie’s and Ryan was so patient…protective and explained everything so well. He put us on rainbow trout. Caught 23 all together. It was a pleasure fishing with him. Love u Ryan from the two old Scaly Mountain Women
